Background of the Study
Ethical business leadership, characterized by integrity, accountability, and fairness, plays a pivotal role in driving corporate growth. Leaders who uphold ethical standards inspire trust among stakeholders, enhance organizational reputation, and foster sustainable development. Research highlights that ethical leadership promotes employee morale, reduces operational risks, and improves decision-making processes (Bello & Hassan, 2023).
Plateau State, with its vibrant commercial and industrial sectors, relies on corporate entities to contribute to economic growth and development. However, unethical leadership practices, including favoritism and corruption, hinder organizational progress. This study examines the role of ethical business leadership in fostering corporate growth in Plateau State.
Statement of the Problem
Despite the critical role of ethical leadership in driving corporate success, many organizations in Plateau State face challenges such as diminished stakeholder trust, poor decision-making, and stunted growth due to unethical practices (Adeyemi & Musa, 2024). These challenges emphasize the need to explore how ethical leadership influences corporate growth and identify strategies for improving leadership standards.
